Here are this morning's life drawings... I really enjoyed this session - things are slowly coming back to me, though as always I had tremendous problems with legs!
I always end up leaving the legs and feet til last because I find them hard, then I run out of time to get them worked out!
Perhaps I'll have to do some legs and feet studies and force myself to learn...!

Hi Carrie, thanks for stopping by! Your work here is lovely, especially the drawings & paintings of children. There's a very appealing glow about them. I look forward to seeing more!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed browsing through your blog (and your framing blog as well!)
ReplyDeleteI have a problem with legs too, though I am fortunate that I don't usually work in the full length with my figuratives :) I am also envious of your ability to work from a live model, I have never had the opportunity to do so.
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a thoughtful comment. It's always nice to meet other mother's who happen to be artists as well. It's such a difficult thing to balance and no one else quite understands. Will be following! :)
Hi there, thanks for your comments!
ReplyDeleteCurious Art - thanks so much for visiting and I'm really pleased you liked my stuff! It's still a very new blog so I'm always excited to see a new visitor...!
And Lauren, I'm really glad you came by for a look too! I've admired your work from afar for quite a while...
I'm really with you on the whole motherhood thing and like you say its reassuring to know there are others out there with the same dilemmas...
I love life drawing and find it so valuable. I'm surprised you haven't drawn from live models because your figurative work is so good!
I hope you enjoy visiting, I'm really glad to have you here!
Best wishes
Carrie :)
